Albatrello Maremma Toscana DOC

Fresh and vibrant, this red blend channels the bold character of Maremma Toscana. Albatrello is a local native mushroom, and the label depicts a cinghiale, a wild boar that roams the region.

TASTING NOTES

Deep ruby red, perfectly showcasing each variety’s contribution: from Sangiovese’s Morello cherry, Merlot’s red plum, Cabernet’s purple fruit, to Syrah’s blackberry and pepper spice. All in perfect symphony, framed by tannins that are well integrated into the fruit, with refreshing acidity, and wild herbs and savory finish.

PAIRING NOTES

Fresh and vibrant with savory notes, this wine is very versatile in gastronomy. Pairs well with meat dishes, from herb-roasted chicken to beef stew, as well as tomato-based seafood preparations. Try it with lobster ravioli in pink sauce, or for a vegan and authentic option, schiacciata all’uva (Tuscan sweet-savory flatbread with grapes).

Biancamara Vermentino Maremma Toscana DOC

Made predominantly of Vermentino, Biancamara likens itself to the “white sea,” representing the untamed spirit of this wine—sun, sand, and surf.

TASTING NOTES

Fresh and dry, with aromatic apricots, peaches, and Valencia oranges on the nose. The palate is pleasingly bright, with textural richness and plenty of Mediterranean herbs—thyme and oregano—and finishes on a saline note.

PAIRING NOTES

With a strong structure, this wine pairs great with seafood dishes such as miso-marinated cod or shrimp jambalaya, as well as lean meats. Try it with grilled fennel-spiced sausages or veal Milanese. It is perfect for vegan salads like zucchini carpaccio with herbs and almonds.

Sangiovese Maremma Toscana DOC

This is not your typical red of the past. The untamed and varied landscape of the region produces diverse flavors, giving Sassoregale Sangiovese a depth and character that does not overstate its easygoing drinkability.

TASTING NOTES

Sassoregale Sangiovese is a dry, full-bodied, ruby red wine with flavors of Morello cherries, wild berries, earthy notes, hints of leather, and moderate spiciness. Its bold flavors are well-balanced by its drinkability.

PAIRING NOTES

Sassoregale Sangiovese is a perfect companion to great cuts of meat, grilled and BBQ platters, cured meats, rustic Tuscan-style dishes, and slow-cooked roasts. It is a natural choice for hearty dishes like panko-crusted beef tenderloin with green mole and five-spiced corn, grilled calamari with smoked paprika aioli, or traditional cuisines like ravioli stuffed with spinach and fresh ricotta.

Vermentino Maremma Toscana DOC

Our Sassoregale Vermentino is sun, wind and sea, captured in a bottle. Our Vermentino vines are nurtured by the rugged natural environment of the coastal Maremma region of southern Tuscany.

TASTING NOTES

A bright straw-yellow white wine with expressive notes dominated by citrus and stone fruits framed by Mediterranean herbs and minerality. Robust and round on the palate, this fresh, medium-bodied coastal wine has a generous concentration of fruits with a persistent mineral-driven finish.

PAIRING NOTES

Fresh and robust, this wine is incredibly versatile and has a special affinity to anything with strong herbal notes (like pesto or salsa verde) or citrus (like ceviche or mussels in a lemon-­‐‑butter sauce). Ideal with many seafood preparations – from raw oysters to grilled shrimp – and white meats like suckling pig.
