Sangiovese Maremma Toscana DOC

This is not your typical red of the past. The untamed and varied landscape of the region produces diverse flavors, giving Sassoregale Sangiovese a depth and character that does not overstate its easygoing drinkability.

TASTING NOTES

Sassoregale Sangiovese is a dry, full-bodied, ruby red wine with flavors of Morello cherries, wild berries, earthy notes, hints of leather, and moderate spiciness. Its bold flavors are well-balanced by its drinkability.

PAIRING NOTES

Sassoregale Sangiovese is a perfect companion to great cuts of meat, grilled and BBQ platters, cured meats, rustic Tuscan-style dishes, and slow-cooked roasts. It is a natural choice for hearty dishes like panko-crusted beef tenderloin with green mole and five-spiced corn, grilled calamari with smoked paprika aioli, or traditional cuisines like ravioli stuffed with spinach and fresh ricotta.
