Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC

A complex and sophisticated Pinot Grigio is a classic example of the best of Alto Adige.

TASTING NOTES

The wine has a pale lemon color with varietal ripe apple-led fruit aromas. Dry on the palate with vivid acidity and a persistent, mineral-driven finish.

PAIRING NOTES

Subtle yet dynamic, this wine pairs well with both spicy and bold dishes as well as delicate preparations. Try it with chipotle halibut tacos or braised short ribs with black peppercorns. Its fresh acidity will cut through the richness of creamy lemon and asparagus pasta.

Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC

The secret weapon of sommeliers who’ve seen it all. From vineyards that are located on the hills around Lake Caldaro. The local terroir adds to the complexity of the wine.

TASTING NOTES

Beautiful floral and green apple notes with delicate minerality. Dry, unoaked with fresh acidity and a long, juicy finish.

PAIRING NOTES

Fresh acidity and delicate aromas make this wine a great companion to freshwater fish and light appetizers. Its dry and mineral character stands well with rich and spicy sauces; try it with crab cakes with Sriracha aioli. Plenty of orchard fruit will complement dishes using it as a component, such as pan-roasted duck breast with apples or braised cabbage for a meatless alternative.

Müller Thurgau Alto Adige DOC

The Müller Thurgau grape is a crossing created in 1882 by Dr. Herman Müller, who was from the town of Thurgau in Switzerland.

TASTING NOTES

A wine with intense and complex notes of stone fruits, citrus, and mountain flowers, leading to a dry palate with a solid backbone of acidity and a clean finish.

PAIRING NOTES

The exotic notes pair perfectly with Asian dishes such as cold soba noodles with cucumber and sesame dressing. Try it with black bean and mango salad with cilantro or smoked trout dip with pita crisps and radishes.

Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC

Kettmeir’s Pinot Nero (Italian for Pinot Noir) is a rare and unique offering from Italy’s most northerly growing region.

TASTING NOTES

The wine has a brilliant ruby color and aromas of red cherry, rose petal, and mild baking spice. It is pure and refined on the palate, with a gently layered finish of red currants and juicy cherries.

PAIRING NOTES

Complex layers of flavor match elaborate dishes as well as simple preparations. Try it with pasta carbonara, French onion soup with bacon crumbles, or steak frites for a perfect combination. It is also great with vegan cuisine—try it with cauliflower tacos with marinated onions and sprouts.

Athesis Brut Metodo Classico Alto Adige DOC

A traditional method sparkling wine with ultra-fine bubbles, floral notes, and a mineral finish. A mountain gem with a distinctive vertical soul.

TASTING NOTES

Precise and delicate. Aromas of wildflowers dominate the nose. The bubbles are energetic, with a very fine texture. Alpine herbs, ripe lemon, and peaches follow. Autolytic notes are minimal and in a supporting role, allowing the fruit to shine. Taut and mineral, with very high acidity to complement the light body. Extremely subtle finish, showing finesse and river-rock minerality.

PAIRING NOTES

With its high acidity and energetic bubbles, this wine is a successful pairing with rich sauces and fried dishes. Try it with creamy herbed polenta with crispy fried fish or grilled bone-in pork chops with pineapple salsa.

Athesis Brut Rosé Metodo Classico Alto Adige DOC

Athesis Brut Rosé is a traditional method sparkling wine that combines vibrant red berry notes with delicate floral aromas and a fine, persistent mousse. Elegant and refreshing, it balances Alpine freshness with subtle creaminess and a long mineral finish.

TASTING NOTES

Whimsical and taut, the wine shows wild strawberries and raspberries accented by a very fresh acidity and a hint of bakery aromas. The finish is very long, with forest berries, aromatic herbs, and delicate creaminess.

PAIRING NOTES

Scented with berries and herbs, this wine is very versatile. Delicious with spicy dishes like Thai red curry with pumpkin and bell peppers. With its creamy character, it pairs well with rich preparations such as crispy-skin salmon with butter sauce. It is a match made in heaven with Thanksgiving turkey (or vegan meat alternatives) served with cranberry relish.
