Position overview:
HERITA USA is seeking a highly skilled and independent Senior Human Resources Generalist to serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Vice President of Human Resources. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can manage projects autonomously, oversee payroll operations for both exempt and nonexempt employees, and support high-level HR initiatives with strong analytical and communication skills.
key job responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational HR Leadership
Serve as a trusted partner to the VP of HR, independently managing HR projects and initiatives from conception through implementation.
Oversee and execute daily HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and HR systems management.
Support workforce planning, data analysis, and organizational initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
Payroll Administration (Full Ownership)
Process and manage payroll for both exempt and nonexempt employees.
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefit contributions.
Administer payroll within ADP Workforce Now, including reporting, auditing, and system updates.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies independently.
HR Systems & Reporting
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, reporting dashboards).
Develop executive-level presentations and reporting materials using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Prepare workforce analytics, trend reports, compensation analysis, and executive summaries for leadership.
Support internal audits and compliance documentation.
Compliance & Employee Lifecycle
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee records.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Support onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee engagement initiatives.
Assist with employee relations matters and documentation as needed.
Schedule & Flexibility Requirements
This position follows a hybrid work schedule; however, flexibility is required. The Senior HR Generalist must be available to work in-office upon executive request and may need to support extended hours during payroll cycles or critical HR initiatives.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including payroll ownership.
Demonstrated experience working independently on HR projects.
Direct hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required).
Proven experience processing payroll for both exempt and nonexempt employees.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Physical Demand: This role involves a combination of sedentary office work and active logistics support. Must be able to sit, stand, and move about the office and distribution areas.
Communication: Must be able to "communicate" and "exchange" accurate information clearly and empathetically with management and outside entities; vendors, employees, etc.
Mental Demand: Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks with reliability and punctuality.
