Position overview:
HERITA USA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who is interested in a long-term position with our company.
key job responsibilities:
Accurately maintain, balance and audit a General Ledger by posting/processing journal entries and maintain detail schedules to produce accurate financial statements.
Reconcile and analyze financial statement accounts and intercompany accounts.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close using independent judgment and GAAP.
Prepare budget reports, department allocation reports, or other specialized reports or analysis on a regular or ad hoc basis.
Monitor, analyze and ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Analyze revenues and expenditures to assure they are within compliance, budgetary limitations, and accurately recorded in General Ledger.
Participate in the maintenance, transaction segregation, and analysis of accurate financial reporting records.
Compile and post monthly expense reports.
Process periodic electronic income tax payments.
Support sales tax, income tax, tangible property tax, and 1099 compliance
Year-end audit support
Excellent time management and organizational ability
Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
Provide periodic support for AP and AR processing and payments.
Record periodic treasury management and cash flow transactions.
Support sales tax, income tax, tangible property tax, and 1099 compliance by providing reports.
Other duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Educational background in accounting is a must. A few years’ experience in full cycle Accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles and other financial reporting practices.
Ability to communicate (both in verbal and written form) with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts.
Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
Apply policy or statute to business process to ensure compliance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
Prior working experience with SAP ERP system.
Knowledge of computerized accounting but must be able to do a manual set of books.
Excellent written and spoken English skills are a must.
Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills interfacing with internal and external customers.
Strong Excel skills.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a constantly changing environment with enthusiasm.
Ability to work independently and as a member of our team.
additional NoteS:
Schedule & Flexibility Requirements:
This position follows a hybrid work schedule; however, flexibility is required. The accountant must be available to work in-office upon executive request and may need to support extended hours during critical Finance Department initiatives.
